Prospect Park Alliance and the Olmsted Network invite you to a reception & chat with Christian A. Zimmerman (PPA) and Mark Hough (Duke).
The crown jewel of Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux’s oeuvre, Prospect Park is a triumph of landscape architecture, and the result of over 150 years of collaboration, design and stewardship.
Join Mark Hough, FASLA, landscape architect at Duke University and author of Design through Time: Evolving Landscape, From Alcatraz to Prospect Park, for a conversation celebrating Prospect Park and the 35-year legacy of Christian Zimmerman, FASLA, who served as Prospect Park Alliance’s Chief Landscape Architect, and most recently Vice President for Capital and Landscape Management, and oversaw the transformation of the park from the decline and deterioration of the 1970s and early 1980s to its restoration and revitalization today.
Doors open 5:30 pm
Talk begins 6:00 pm
Light bites & refreshments will be served.
