How do Olmsted parks inspire art, and what makes an Olmsted park a work of art? We’ll examine these questions and more in Conversations with Olmsted: Exploring Olmsted Parks Through Art on Tuesday, August 20, at 3 pm ET.
This webinar will be moderated by New York Times photographer Ruth Fremson. Fremson’s photo essay, Olmsted’s Enduring Gift, was compiled for Frederick Law Olmsted’s 200th birthday on April 20, 2022, alongside her piece An Assignment I Needed: Frederick Law Olmsted’s Legacy. She’ll be joined by landscape architect Gary Hilderbrand of Reed Hilderbrand, artist Jane Loeffler and urban planner Anita Morson-Matra of Emerald Necklace Conservancy.
Tickets are free, but please sign up by clicking “Buy Ticket” above. If you have issues, please contact us at info@olmsted.org. By registering for this program, you consent to receive occasional emails from us.
Jane Loeffler painted “World’s End viewed from Hull” with acrylic in 2015. Read more about her artwork on our Shared Spaces blog here.
