Noted landscape historian and landscape and environmental author Cathy Jean Maloney, a resident of Riverside, Illinois, will share thoughts on the “Sister Suburbs” of Frederick Law Olmsted’s First and last subdivisions: Riverside (1868) and Druid Hills (1893). These two historic neighborhoods were linked by a proclamation celebrating the 200th birthday of Frederick Law Olmsted. Ms. Maloney chaired the Landscape Advisory Commission in Riverside and helped get it certified as an arboretum.
