Parkfest, which spanned the entire length of the Emerald Necklace, was the capstone event of Boston’s local bicentennial campaign.

The Olmsted 200 campaign has sparked a rededication to parks and landscapes across the country—but the work is far from over!

Prompted by The Garden Club of America’s PARKS: Where Nature Meets Community initiative, many clubs across the country dedicated 2021 and 2022 to bettering Olmsted parks and landscapes.

Planting Fields Foundation is keeping busy! In October, the organization is hosting several events for Olmsted 200, including a special reception at a private estate, a major two-day symposium, and a weekend of tours of Olmsted-designed sites on Long Island, NY.

Olmsted 200 remembers Herbert V. Kohler, Jr. as a dedicated Olmsted-fan and engaged member of the Olmsted 200 Honorary Committee.

Olmsted 200 is saddened by the loss of Marshall Webb.

Trinity College sponsored an online lecture series called, "Olmsted’s Brain: Discovering Health in Urban Places and Wild Spaces."

NAOP is among the 2022 Honors Recipients announced by the American Society of Landscape Architects on Tuesday. NAOP will receive the Olmsted Medal.

At the Olmsted Birthday Gala in New York City on April 25, 2022, Laurie Olin, Mike Messner and Sara Zewde, all members of the Olmsted 200 Honorary Committee, offered moving tributes to FLO. At the conclusion of their tributes, author Hugh Howard offered a toast to FLO as the grand finale of the evening.

"Olmsted left a remarkable legacy as an author, social reformer, and conservationist, and, most notably, as the nation’s pre-eminent landscape architect. As he produced extremely important work here in Chicago, we are pulling out all of the stops to honor this milestone."
