The Board of Directors of the Olmsted Network is comprised of nationally-recognized leaders, thinkers, practitioners and philanthropists dedicated to exploring and celebrating Frederick Law Olmsted and his legacy.
Our Story
Our organization was founded in 1980 by a group of advocates dedicated to promoting and preserving the work and principles of Frederick Law Olmsted. Since that time, we have fostered stewardship, championed scholarship and fought to protect these irreplaceable places from the threats of disrepair and development.

Board members provide expertise and support to guide us successfully into the future. Directors bring diverse experiences ranging from landscape architecture and preservation professionals, to scholars, landscape stewards, attorneys and citizen activists.

Council members serve as advocates and ambassadors for the Olmsted Network. They actively support our mission of educating and building the next generation of individuals, organizations and funders dedicated to the living legacy of Olmsted and the Olmsted firm.
