As the managing partner of Olmsted 200, the National Association for Olmsted Parks hosted a gala in NYC in honor of Olmsted's 200th birthday. The event drew nearly 250 partners, supporters, and scholars from across the country.

Exciting news— a Resolution to honor Frederick Law Olmsted's 200th birthday has been introduced in the House of Representatives by Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI-12) and Rep. French Hill (R-AR-2).

In honor of both Frederick Law Olmsted’s birthday and Earth Day, the Library of Congress is gearing up for a busy April, displaying an exhibit in the Thomas Jefferson building and hosting weekly crowdsourcing transcription challenges.

The National Association for Olmsted Parks (NAOP) has announced the winners of their Olmsted 200 Student Essay Competition. Students at both the secondary and post-secondary school level were invited to submit essays addressing the question: How should the life, legacy and values of Frederick Law Olmsted inform 21st century challenges?
