About Olmsted, F. L.
As a 1922 contractual requirement, Frederick Law Olmsted, Jr. was required to live in Palos Verdes while it was under construction. His home was built in 1924, designed by Myron Hunt, with panoramic ocean views to the west, and an English style garden and orchard on the east side of the property. Exterior walls clad in local Palos Verdes stone link the site with the locale.
