About Wight, M. F.
In 1912 Seattle realtor M.F. Wight hired Olmsted Brothers to design “Overlake (a.k.a. Overlook) Addition” in Medina, on Meydenbauer Bay. James Frederick Dawson drew plans laying out lots, drives, walks and street trees on curves following natural topograpy and exploiting views. This 50-acre development on “beautiful…property having a view of the city, lake, and mountains” appears to have been built, but its Olmsted connection is all but unknown.
