Brooklyn Botanic Garden

Brooklyn Botanic Garden (BBG) is an urban botanic garden that connects people to the world of plants, fostering delight and curiosity while inspiring an appreciation and sense of stewardship of the environment. Founded more than a century ago, the Olmsted Brothers firm laid out the original plan for the site, envisioning a public garden that would ensure some green space remained in a cityscape of buildings and paved roads. Today, the Garden is comprised of 52 acres and 21 different gardens and conservatories. It represents the very best in urban gardening and horticultural display.
