For over 125 years, the Rochester Lilac Festival has been a staple in welcoming spring to upstate New York. The Festival brings all members of the community together, featuring stunning gardens in the Olmsted-designed Highland Park. Gardens include hundreds of varieties of lilacs and other flora, including tulips, roses, pansies and magnolias. This 10-day event features free live music every day open to close, the Lilac Parade, the Lilac Run 5K/10K, shopping with artisans and businesses, an award winning juried Art Show, VIP Skydeck, and more food and beverage options than imaginable. Recently added are guided walking flower and historical tours all 10 days and self-guided tours available year-round.
