About Ainsworth, E. E.
This Highlands project involved both a lot subdivision and development of a shared site plan for two adjacent homes. In mid-winter 1910 John Charles Olmsted visited the lot and then prepared a preliminary plan. The houses had connecting drives and abutting garages on the property line, but also distinguishing features. The northerly site included an extensive vegetable garden. Olmsted also advised on grading, thinning and clearing but poor weather thwarted designing for optimal views.
