Highlands, The

The job was set up in 1929 when The Highlands (job 03353) acquired forty additional acres north of the school grounds for an additinal subdivision intended for younger relatives of current owners. J.F. Douglas (job 08091) handled the contact with the Olmsted firm. Correspondence, whch continued over the next 7 years, is held at Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site. The later discussions concerned the question of incorporation as a town or annexation.
