About Stewart, A. B. Country Club
John Charles Olmsted sited “Braeburn,” the Stewart family’s Highlands country home, to take advantage of sweeping Puget Sound views while maintaining forested seclusion and creating graceful access down a steep grade. Hillside springs inspired a romantic yet practical garden focus consisting of a stone grotto, brook and cascading pools approached along the base of an extensive rockery. Layered natives screened the perimeter and ornamentals enriched the landscape near the home. Several features remain today.
