To honor the Olmsted Bicentennial, the National Association for Olmsted Parks (NAOP), has sponsored a carillon composition competition, Inspired by Olmsted.
On Saturday, June 18 at 10 a.m., University of Chicago Carillonneur Joey Brink will present the Midwestern Debut of the winning pieces. The concert will occur at the Rockefeller Memorial Chapel, 5850 S. Woodlawn Avenue, Chicago. This will be part of the national congress of The Carillonneurs Guild of North America. Carillonneurs from around the country will play during this three-day festival adjoining the Midway Plaisance.
