The Olmsted Network is pleased to participate in American Public Health Association’s 2023 Annual Meeting & Expo in Atlanta, GA, on November 12-15.
As part of the conference, we are teaming up with Olmsted Linear Park Alliance to offer APHA members and the park-loving public a complimentary tour of Olmsted’s Druid Hills neighborhood. Local tour guides will walk registrants through the area’s Olmsted Linear Park, pointing out classic Olmstedian design features and discussing the legacy of Frederick Law Olmsted in the area. The tour will also tie in public health and Olmsted’s belief that parks serve as the lungs of the city.
The walking tour will be approximately 2 miles long. We encourage participants to check the weather ahead of the event and dress appropriately. More details to come prior to the event.
APHA members should register through APHA’s conference portal. The public is welcome to register through Eventbrite. Space is very limited. Please register by October 6.
