Friends of Olmsted-Beil House

Olmsted-Beil House by Patricia Salmon

The Friends of Olmsted-Beil House is an all-volunteer charitable organization whose mission is to protect, preserve, and present the Olmsted-Beil House historic site. The Olmsted-Beil House, where Frederick Law Olmsted lived from 1848-1855, is a New York City landmark and is listed on the New York State and National Registers of Historic Places. The house and site are now owned by the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation. For safety considerations, the house is closed to the public while it awaits restoration, which will require significant funding.
