During Heritage Open Days 2021 (10-19 September), Birkenhead Park’s team will organize free guided walks in the footsteps of Frederick Law Olmsted when he first visited the park in 1850. The Park’s amazing rangers and volunteers will take you on a special tour of Joseph Paxton’s masterpiece of landscape design and stunning architecture, to take in iconic features such as the Grand Entrance, Roman Boathouse and the Swiss Bridge.
Contact us for booking at birkenheadpark@wirral.gov.uk.
We will start and finish at Birkenhead Park Visitor Centre.
This walk is about 2.5 miles and takes about 2 hours.
