Join us for this special tribute to Central Park designer Frederick Law Olmsted on the 200th anniversary of his birth. This tour highlights how Olmsted utilized trees to create a dynamic sense of space and cultivate landscapes reminiscent of Upstate New York’s Catskill and Adirondack Mountains. Our Conservancy experts will highlight the tree species that date back to the Park’s humble beginnings, including varieties we believe were planted during the time Olmsted personally oversaw Central Park.
