On July 13, 2023, The Global Alliance for Behavioral Health and Social Justice awarded the Olmsted Network its Recognition Award. The Award is bestowed “for contributions in behavioral health that contribute to social justice.” The Olmsted Network was praised for its “efforts to preserve parks and green space … fundamental to the mental well-being of individuals.” The Alliance announced the honor in a letter to board chair Phil Schultz, thanking the Olmsted Network for its Olmsted 200 initiative.
