Preservation Connecticut preserves, protects, and promotes the buildings, sites, and landscapes that contribute to the heritage and vitality of Connecticut communities. Successful projects include a survey of town greens and more than 30 years of work on behalf of the Merritt Parkway.
In 2022, Preservation Connecticut and the Connecticut State Historic Preservation Office carried out a statewide survey of Olmsted firm landscapes, with a context report outlining and analyzing the firm’s background, connections, and work in the state. Preservation Connecticut can help owners and stewards identify tactics and resources for designating, protecting, maintaining and rehabbing historic landscapes throughout Connecticut.
