Hayride on the Hill just doubled in size! Guests and friends are invited to enjoy the fall foliage in both Shawnee Park and Cherokee Park. OPC will kick off the first event at Shawnee Park (Pavilion) Saturday, October 29, and will continue the fun at Cherokee Park (atop Baringer Hill) Sunday, October 30. The 2-day event will run from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Entertainment includes music, a kids’ Free Play experience, and guided hayrides around the parks. This is your chance to simply walk, run and bike Shawnee and Cherokee parks car-free!
To ensure the safety of all participants and park goers, please read over the parking recommendations for both parks. Attendees with limited mobility will be accommodated as needed. Parking access will be provided at Shawnee Park along Southwestern Parkway. Guests will need to use the back entrance to the park to avoid the path of the hayride. For Cherokee Park, please park near the Daniel Boone statue on Eastern Parkway or in the golf course parking lot on Alexander Road. The Baringer ADA Multi-use path is easily accessible from the Eastern Parkway entrance.
Hayride on the Hill is made possible thanks to the support from our sponsors Element Design, Heine Brothers’ Coffee, Kaden Companies, Rainbow Blossom, and Sterling Thompson Company.
